The Fenway Health Transgender Health Program (THP) produced these protocols for clinicians in primary care settings to best serve their transgender patients. The mission of Fenway Health is to enhance the wellbeing of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities and all people in our neighborhood and beyond. Transgender women are at elevated risk of becoming infected with HIV. Pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV prevention (PrEP) is effective in reducing the risk of HIV infection among men who have sex with men (MSM), heterosexual men and women, and people who inject drugs (PWID). Protecting Yourself from HIV through Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP): What You Need to Know
