This webinar addresses the intersectionality of LGBTQIA+ identity and neurodiversity. Dr. Gerrit van Schalkwyk discusses psycho-social implications for people who are sexual and gender minorities and also neurodiverse, and also talks about how to best serve these individuals. Janet Barbieri of the Autism/Aspergers Network of New England (AANE) addresses social supports for LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse people and the importance of community opportunities and engagement for these individuals. AANE Speaker’s Bureau panelist Kendrick Cronin describes his experience as an LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse person, and talks about what he needs from his healthcare providers and his community.
