Carlos E. Rodríguez-Díaz, PhD, MPHE, MCHES

Dr. Rodriguez-Diaz is a community health educator and a sociobehavioral scientist with experiences in health promotion, health policy, human rights, and health diplomacy. He has been working in the LGBT health field in Puerto Rico, United States of America, and the Caribbean for over 15 years and has collaborated in advocacy and research initiatives with governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Most of his work in the LGBT health field has been dedicated to develop sociobehavioral interventions and research to address the needs of populations otherwise made socially vulnerable including people with HIV, transgender women, gays, bisexual and other men who have sex with other men. Currently, Dr. Rodriguez-Diaz is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Community Health Sciences at Boston University School of Public Health. He is also an Affiliate Faculty at the Schools of Public Health at the George Washington University and the University of Puerto Rico.
