Michele Hatchell (she/her)

Michele has worked for over 20 years as a social justice educator and professional artist in PK-12 schools and communities throughout the US. During the last 7 years, she authored curriculum and professional development trainings for the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Welcoming Schools program. These trainings, lesson plans and resources have been delivered in 50 states to over 135,000 educators to increase their capacity to embrace family diversity, create LGBTQ+ and gender inclusive schools, prevent bias-based bullying, and support transgender and nonbinary students using an intersectional approach. In both her community art and social justice work, she enjoys being a co-collaborator who works with communities to help create intentional spaces that reflect our shared experiences and celebrate our differences.
